hi! how are you guys? hope u guys always doing great and always keep the spirit up.

today i will describe one of recreation place in jakarta called 

"jakarta aquarium"




Jakarta aquarium is located in the LG and LGM floor of Neo Soho Mall, West Jakarta. The ticket booth is located at LG, while the parking lot is on top of 4M floor.


"how to buy the tickets?"
First, there are two types of tickets available. Both are an all day admission. The differences are:

  • Regular ticket Rp. 175,000: one time entry in one day, so maximize your visit, once you exit, you can not enter again.
  • Premium ticket Rp. 225,000 : unlimited multiple entry for four hours. When the 4 hours almost up, you may stay inside Jakarta Aquarium until it is closed provided you do not exit. In addition, the ticket includes a 5D theatre experience.
ABOUT JAKARTA AQUARIUM

Jakarta Aquarium, the largest indoor Aquarium in Indonesia, a signature of Taman Safari Indonesia in collaboration with Aquaria KLCC, Malaysia. In about a hectare conservation area, we have aquatic and non-aquatic animals with more than 3500 species. Touch them and feed them! You can feel the intimate interaction with our animals. Guided by our experienced animal keepers, you and your family at all ages will get exciting information about the animals. Know the uniqueness of Giant Grouper, Humboldt Penguin, Sea Dragon, and many more! Every animal has a story to tell and you will find it in Jakarta Aquarium! Dive deep into our magnificent underwater kingdom and fall in love with the stories you’ve never heard before!

However, not all of the collection in Jakarta Aquarium are sea creatures. Twenty percent are animals live in the beach, mud, and mangrove, such as crab, porcupine, lizard, salamander, turtle and snakes. Even from the remaining 80%, a small portion are fresh water fish, such as Piranha.

The main tank, i.e. the largest aquarium, is located one floor below. However, there is a glass floor on top of the main tank, where we can see the fish swim under us!

The main tank contains  various fish, mostly the big ones. For example, sharks, sting rays and grouper. One grouper weighs 250 kilograms, while the other one weighs 200 kilograms and the nurse shark's size is 3 meters long!

1. Otter Tunnel

These rides are in the Beavers Exhibition Zone. The shape is in the form of a glass tunnel inside which contains cute beavers that visitors can enjoy to their heart's content



2. touch and find zone
Here there is a large enough pool that contains various kinds of marine life such as snails, starfish, oysters and sea cucumbers.



The fun thing about this ride is that visitors who come are allowed to interact directly with these marine biota with directions or guidance from officers.

3. Aqua Trekking

The activity are quite interesting and will provide a sensation of excitement because the end will be invited to swim directly into the giant aquarium with sharks, rays and various other types of fish.

  Pearl Of The South Sea shows


At the Jakarta Aquarium, visitors can also watch a show titled Pearl Of The South Sea.
This show will feature a play from a folk tale that is said to have occurred in a kingdom in the ancient Java Strait.
Apart from being entertaining, this show also has educational values ​​or messages so that the visitors will always protect and preserve nature.
The show, which is set in a super large aquarium against the background of underwater life, is also equipped with music effects, exotic lighting and smoke effects to enliven the atmosphere.
